Case Study 1 – Working with a management team …

Our research identified an opportunity to carve out a successful integrated marketing agency from a larger group and create significant value for the management team and a potential new owner. The business has a strong base in Europe with a growing APAC and US presence.

Working with the management team we found our ideas for taking the business forward and theirs were aligned, and we negotiated an exclusive offer process with the current owners. We developed a value creation plan including services growth and geographic expansion to enable the business to support global customers and serve customers across more of the value chain. The re-shaped business would generate significantly more EBITDA and attract a higher multiple.

We introduced a prospective investor who had the capacity and skills to support the management team on the next stage of their journey; had a strong cultural fit with the management team; and met the vendor’s criteria of being proceedable and a known quantity to them.
